Join us at the Malvern Hills GeoCentre in the Wyche Innovation Centre for a talk by local mineralogist enthusiast; Adrian Wyatt. The unique geology of the Malverns results in a surprising range of minerals with more distinct types that you are likely to find in a comparable-sized area elsewhere in England. The talk will therefore be about the various minerals that can be found on and around the Malvern Hills, what they consist off, how they were formed, and how to identify them. There will also be some hands-on samples to inspect, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions and even bring your own sample along for identification. The event is free of charge and should be of interest to walkers, amateur geologists, and those just interested in finding out more about the rocks under our feet.
