Bushcraft covers an abundance of outdoor skills, from building safe, and successful fires, to wittling useful tools, den buildling, knot tying, and much more.

These beginner sessions are for those who want to start learning these fabulous skills, if you already know basic bushcraft, these may not be advanced enough for you. Advised age range is 7-14.

Our Park Rangers will guide the group, in fun, memorable sessions, utilising Nottinghams wonderful nature reserves and wild spaces. You will be ancouraged to enagage with the learning aspect, but also use your creativity and imagination to make it extra special.


This time we're at Bulwell Hall, a beloved historical park in the North of the City; popular for it's recreational opportunities such as football, angling and golf, as well as the little ones for a place of exploration and play. It has a colourful history, from being owned by a local brewer, to becoming a Prisoner of War camp during WW2.

The landscape is made up of tradional park land, ponds, woodlands, streams and meadow, so there's plenty of opportunities to feel like you're in another world!

Parking is available on site, please use the car park to the left of the play area, as soon as you turn in, meet our rangers on the grass beside the car park.

Please wear sturdy footwear.
