Mini Explorers (SEND) | Family Arts Festival 2025

Creative dance & play exploring nature and the environment

Join for a magical, movement-based workshop where families can explore the wonders of our planet through dance, music, storytelling and creative play

🌍 Imagine…

• Diving beneath the ocean waves
• Soaring high into the clouds
• Dancing with multi-coloured flowers
• Floating weightlessly through space…before celebrating with a fun and joyful dance party among the stars

This multi-sensory experience blends child-led and adult-led play, encouraging families to discover their creativity together. Every session is unique, shaped by the ideas and responses of those in the room.

Mini Explorers sessions will take place indoors in The Core theatre under the GAIA installation, as part of Family Arts Festival

Who is it for?

• Free tickets available for families in our funded areas of Corby and Wellingborough
• Specifically tailored for children with additional needs, including SEND and PMLD
• This session is limited to 8 children with additional needs for a calmer and quiter experience.

Access & Inclusion

• Makaton signing will be used during the session
• Families can choose how they explore and play
• Step-free access throughout the venue
• Lifts suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters
• Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, inc. Changing Places toilet near the Library.
