Frequently asked questions

Is this progamme free if I am not a L&Q resident?

This course is funded by L&Q so priority given to L&Q residents, however the course is open to all adults 19+. We particularly encourage attendance from families in receipt of benefits, those who are unemployed or earning less than LLW and parents and carers from migrant or refugee backgrounds.

Can I register if I have more than one child?

Yes! You’re welcome to register with more than one child. Please make sure to include the age of each child when you sign up. However, as spaces are limited, we may not be able to accommodate every family with multiple children. We’ll do our best and will contact you if there are any issues.

What if I need to leave before the end of the session?

We totally understand — sometimes little ones decide it's time to go! Each session is designed with flexibility in mind and includes: creative arts & crafts, quieter stay-and-play corners, refreshments and comfy sofa for a chat, rhyme time to say goodbye. Feel free to come and go as needed.

Do I need to attend every session?

We’d love you to attend all 7 sessions, but we understand things come up. Please let us know if you'll miss one. We may prioritise families who can commit to most or all sessions to ensure the best experience for everyone.

What do I need to wear?

Please wear clothing that is comfortable and can get messy. Some activities will include paint and water, so please bring a change of clothing for your child. The venue has a baby change room.

Can I leave my child/children unattended at the session?

This is a Family Learning course, so parents and guardians are expected to be with their little ones at all times.
