Mini Makerspace at Doncaster Hackspace – Free STEM Activity for Kids!

Join us at Doncaster Hackspace for a hands-on Mini Makerspace session, where young creators can explore the world of making, building and inventing!

We’re welcoming 32 young makers (split across two sessions) to take part in this special event. Each child will choose a table and build their own STEM kit. Every table will offer a different hands-on project – from simple mechanical builds to creative tech toys. With help from our friendly volunteers, children will assemble, experiment and take their finished project home as a memento of their session at the Hackspace.

What you need to know:
• Suitable for children aged 8 and over.
• No previous experience needed – just curiosity and a willingness to tinker!
• All materials are provided.
• Small group sizes (4 children per table).
• Take-home project included.
• Completely free to attend.

Please note: Due to limited kits, we can only accommodate 4 children per table per session. Each child must be accompanied by an adult and may need to lend a hand during the activity.

Alongside the Mini Makerspace, we’ll have a display showing what our members work on during regular meetups – this could include 3D printing, electronics, stained glass and sewing. Members will also be available to answer any questions about our group and the projects we work on.

Our tuck shop will be open too, offering drinks, crisps and chocolate!
