Mini Yogi Baby Yoga Course - Term 1
£35 per course (4 weeks, 90 mins sessions)
Baby yoga is a combination of soft stretching for baby, inspired by traditional Hatha yoga poses to help support the development of babies and to aid relaxation whilst giving parents an opportunity to strengthen their bond with their baby. It also helps baby to further their body awareness and self-esteem, while both baby and parent benefit from eye contact, relaxation, bonding, love and trust.
During the 4 week course parents will learn baby yoga stretches, baby holds, swings, dips and holds to stimulate baby's senses and aid development. Parents will all learn breathing techniques to aid relaxation with baby. The course is based on the importance of skin contact and touch, and the classes start with a brief baby (dry) massage.

What if my baby cries?
We don’t mind! You may find that your baby cries during part of the yoga session. This is completely normal and does not mean that you are doing something wrong or that your baby does not like what you are doing. If your baby begins to cry during the class you are the best judge of whether to finish the massage, have a break in our chill out zone or continue. Try to identify your baby is crying by listening to their cries. Are they hungry? If so, we are feeding friendly. If you feel your baby has had enough, try again another day. Feel free to go and play or relax in the chill out zone. Remember you are learning about massage and yoga together. If you have an active or sensitive baby, then keep sessions short especially as yoga stimulates the senses.
What should I bring with me to the course?
A towel, milk/drink for your baby (we are feeding friendly, which ever method you use) pram blanket, small toy, a cushion (We do have a limited supply of cushions) and anything else that will help you and your baby be comfortable.
What should we wear?
Comfortable loose fitting clothes for both you and baby - we will be doing mat work and standing poses. No socks or shoes to be worn during the class.
