Trees play a special role on earth, they reduce pollution by locking in carbon, prevent flooding, support wildlife and communicate with each other in ways as ancient as imagination.

During this workshop we will demonstrate how to turn a bangle into a miniature circular weaving loom, and show you how to weave your own tree within the circle as a reminder of how important trees are not only for our planet, but also for our own wellbeing.

You are welcome to come along to this afternoon session to just watch and then make a weaving at your own pace. If you'd like to try out some of the techniques during the session you will need:

• A bangle - ensure it is a good sturdy one that doesn't bend easily
• Yarn - any type that doesn't break easily
• Scissors
• Darning needle
