About this event

Hobbies • Books

Join us in the run-up to Halloween for an interactive talk with Alex Foulkes, as we celebrate the release of Ministry of Mischief: The Takeover.

In this special event, Alex shows us around Impworld and introduces us to it's many monstrous inhabitants. Expect silly songs, misbehaving monsters and maybe a couple of interruptions from the Imp King himself!

Suitable for children 7+ and their families, monster outfits encouraged. Please note that accompanying adults need not purchase a ticket. The Book and Ticket bundle includes a copy of Minstry of Mischief: The Takeover. Copies of the first book will be available to purchase at the event.

About the author

ALEX FOULKES (pronounced FOW-ks, a bit like something has just bitten you) is from Stoke-on-Trent, and lives with her boyfriend and their dog, Mac, who is just small enough to sit on the back of a broomstick - very convenient! She has worked as both a teaching assistant and a school librarian. When she's not reading and reading and reading, she's writing her very own stories with chills, thrills, and maybe even a talking spider! The first book in her devilishly dark debut series, Rules for Vampires, was published in 2021, and Ministry of Mischief first leapt into bookshops and libraries in 2024.
