About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

St James’ legendary Mirror Ball Nights take a step back to the height of Motown in the late 60’s.

Come and dance the night away to one of the UK’s best bands playing the greatest hits from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Four Tops, The Supremes, The Commodores and many more. The Mirror Ball House band, The Soul Funk Allstars features the incredible vocals of Jo Harman and Leonie Gale (nee Tremain), alongside a fantastic line-up of musicians who have performed onstage with Beyonce, Chaka Khan, Lionel Ritchie, Robbie Williams, Steve Wonder, Amy Winehouse and Barry White. They will be performing an upbeat selection of Motown’s back catalogue in two sets with the gaps being filled by top Northern Soul DJ’s.

Jo Harman is an award winning, multi million streaming, international touring and recording artist who has played some of world's most prestigious venues under her own name including the O2 Arena, Royal Albert Hall and as one of 11 (otherwise household named artists) at Parkpop in The Hague playing to some 500k people. She has been described as 'UK's finest blues soul voice' by The Daily Mirror and her duet partners include US soul superstar (and voice of the Doobie Brothers) Michael McDonald who is more famous for his duets with Aretha, Patti LaBelle and Carly Simon (so Jo in quite good company!). Rag N Bone man took to social media to describe Jo as 'one of the UK's finest talents'.

Leonie Gale (nee Tremain) - Another sensational singer and experienced industry professional who has a gold record for her work on recent Eva Cassidy (family approved) posthumous recordings. Lee has toured with the likes of Boy George and is the lead voice behind multi million streaming outfit 'Blame Jones'. Now stepping out into the limelight in her own right, Leonie is a 'singer's singer' whose work 'behind the scenes' has empowered much success to any number of projects, internationally.

    The Band:
Dave Ital (Beyonce, Chaka Khan, etc) guitar

Winston Blissett (Phil Collins, Lionel Richie, Robbie Williams etc) bass

Westley Joseph (Stevie Wonder, Incognito etc) drums

Lex Cameron (Chic, Amy Winehouse, Barry White etc) keys

Norther Soul tunes by Andy Newman
