NEW YORK - LA - PARIS - RIMPTON!

From London’s West End comes Comedy Cabaret Chanteuse Miss Hope Springs bringing a glittering glimpse of vintage Vegas to Rimpton Village Hall.

Comedy cabaret chanteuse down-on-her-luck ‘recovering showgirl’ Miss Hope Springs plays the piano and sings songs from her all original self-penned repertoire and recounts hysterical tales from a career that started out in Las Vegas in the early sixt…I mean seventies. You’ll hear scandalous stories from her disastrous 'Ritz to the pits’ life, interspersed with songs about her various paramours from Liberace to Barry Manilow - and she’ll spill the beans about what it’s like to live cheek my jowl with her husband Irving and his hairdresser pal Carlos in their camper van in Dungeness. It’s a far cry from the Las Vegas and the Nevada Desert where she grew up with her mother Rusty and dreamed of one day being a huge star.

Still wearing the sequinned pantsuit she left the Pink Pelican Casino wearing in 1972, Hope brings you Hope’s unique brand of vintage Vegas style finger snapping pop, wistful waltzes and smouldering torch songs in this unique ‘laugh-out-loud, move-you-to-tears show’. Join Hope as she opens her battered 'suitcase of dreams' to share more magical musical mementos and takes you for a stroll down what is by now a somewhat potholed memory lane…

Miss Hope Springs is the creation of acclaimed composer/lyricist pianist singer and comic actor Mr Ty Jeffries. Ty is the son of the late British screen legend Lionel Jeffries who starred in films such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Camelot as well as writing and directing classic children’s’films like The Railway Children and The Amazing Mr Blunden. Ty uses his real life experiences growing up in Hollywood as a child and his personal memories of actresses such as Diana Dors and Shirley MacLaine to bring real authenticity to his never say die showbiz trouper alter ego Hope. With a fan base that includes amongst amongst many others Miriam Margolyes, Will Young and Julian Clary you know you are in expert theatrical hands.
