Miss Inform - walking tour
Sat 23 July 2016, 11:30 – 12:15 BST
Meet 'Miss Inform', hostess and guide for the most extraordinary tour of South Beach Blackpool you can imagine.
Miss Inform is a highly visible, entertaining character, offering you an alternative view of Blackpool’s local history and urban myths.
By explaining to you her 'true facts' about South Beach, the characters that have lived there, past and present, the buildings and landmarks, the stories and sayings, Miss Inform encourages you to see the place differently, ask questions and find out the truth behind the mis-information she is providing.
Outlandish and outrageous, look out for her passing through, chat to her at the Miss Inform-ation point on the Promenade at the corner of Waterloo Road, or sign up for a free guided walk and receive a free badge for joining her marvellous tour.
Miss Inform is performed by Jenny Wilson for Irregular Arts. Her script has been devised specifically for South Beach, Blackpool, in dialogue with local people. Whilst this performance is not created specifically for children, it is suitable for all ages.
Free, but donations welcomed.
The tours will start at the Miss Inform-ation Point on The Promenade at South Beach (corner of Waterloo Road, FY4 1AF) - MEET THERE 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR TOUR DEPARTS
Part of a programme of arts activity commissioned by community neighbourhood groups across Blackpool and Wyre in partnership with Leftcoast, this artist commission had been developed by the South Beach Beacons.
Irregular Arts is a Bradford-based company specialising in making interactive and unusual performances, and working together with people and communities.
