Missing Maps CZ Mapathon 2021 #6

Missing maps je společná iniciativa humanitárních organizací, kterou společně v listopadu 2014 založil Americký červený kříž, Britský červený kříž, Lékaři bez hranic a Humanitární tým OpenStreetMap. V České republice se o projekt stará česká kancelář Lékařů bez hranic a Český červený kříž.

Potkáme se v pražské kanceláři kiwi.com a zároveň bude možné se připojit online.Co nás čeká?Touto událostí bychom si chtěli připomenout 50 let od založení humanitární zdravotnické organizace Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), takže začneme průřezem klíčových momentů historie MSF. NPo krátkém úvodu do Missing Maps na mapathonu budeme společně podle satelitních snímků v OpenStreetMap zakreslovat budovy pro týmy Lékařů bez hranic v terénu. Jestli nemáte žádné podobné zkušenosti, nevadí. Všechno se naučíte na místě. Budeme školit základy mapování i rádi zasvětíme ty, kteří se účastní opakovaně, do používání pokročilejšího editoru JOSM, případně validace.Co potřebuji?Budete potřebovat vlastní laptop a nabíječku. Pokud máte, vezměte si také myš – hodně vám usnadní práci.Mám si něco připravit?Pokud ještě nemáte účet na OpenStreetMap, vytvořte si ho zde. Monthly mapathons are jointly organized by the Czech office of Médecins Sans Frontières and volunteers from the Czech and Slovak Missing Maps community. We cordially invite complete beginners as well as more experienced mappers. This time, the event will by hosted by the kiwi.com office in Prague and at the same time it will be possible to connect online.
What can we expect?
With this event, we would like to commemorate 50 years since the founding of the humanitarian medical organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), so we will start with a short presentation of highlights from the history of MSF. After a brief introduction to Missing Maps, we will map buildings in OpenStreetMap based on satellite images for MSF teams in the field. If you have no such previous experience, it&#x27;s fine. You will learn everything on the spot. We will provide a training of the basics of mapping and will also offer individual support as needed.
Do I need to bring anything?
You will need your own laptop and a charger. If you have a mouse, also bring it along – it will make mapping much easier.
Should I do anything in preparation?
If you don&#x27;t have an OpenStreetMap account yet, create one here. If you want to join JOSM, ideally download the latest version from https://josm.openstreetmap.de/.
