Event description

Description

Join us at a very special Carol Service to remember those who are missing at Christmas.

The Carol Service will feature the award winning Fred Longworth High School Brass Band and the school’s Freddie’s Voices Choir for the second year running. They will be joined by students from The Cathedral School of St Peter and St John and the Greater Manchester Police Male Voice Choir who will also perform.

The service is completely free and is being made possible by funds raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. In December the charity will celebrate the cumulative total raised by players reaching a huge four million pounds.

The service will include moving tributes from families of missing people, readings from special guests and uplifting music from local choirs.

This service is a very poignant time for those missing someone they love to come together with supporters of the charity in solidarity and hope at Christmastime.

We will also be hosting Carol Services in London, Edinburgh, and Liverpool this year. For more information please click here.

The Carol Service is held at Salford Cathedral as part of the charity’s annual “Home for Christmas” campaign, along with a poignant exhibition featuring images by photographer James O Jenkins of 12 families who have experienced or continue to experience living with a missing loved one. The exhibition will run from 1st – 15th December.
