In this session, we will explore an effective method for planning a maths
lesson in a mixed age classroom, using the new resources provided by
White Rose, which are tailored specifically to teaching two year groups in
one class. Our experienced maths specialist will guide you in adapting
your approach to ensure all children are being supported and challenged,
whilst still accessing their year group expectations.

Using an episodic teaching technique, our expert will share a thinking-
aloud process when planning a lesson in a mixed age class. They will
review the key questions they pose at each stage of planning and
demonstrate how they address each one. By the end of the session, you
will gain valuable support on how to plan a lesson in a mixed age
classroom, as well as strategies to enable and extend children in your
classroom.
