A showcase of all that we have uncovered during our project; come to see and hear the experiences of mixed race families in our city.

About this Event

Join us at our end of project showcase to learn and be inspired by the experiences and achievements of the mixed race community in Birmingham.

Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, our project has researched the experiences of mixed race people in Birmingham and how this has changed over time.

This is a chance to hear and see the experiences of mixed race individuals and families in our city. The event will showcase, amongst other things,

- Statistics from the NHS, Department of Education and National Office of Statistics

- Inspirational mixed heritage role models from the UK

- Written transcripts of interviews from the mixed race community

- Video of Birmingham mixed race role models

We will have also a number of performances at the event including;

- Poetry

- Spoken Word

- Singing

- Drama

Children are welcome to the event. We will have some children's activities available.

Attendance is free. Please ensure that you register for your ticket in advance to guarantee your entry as we are expecting this event to be well attended.
