Kofi Achina
Kofi Achina is a London-based writer, spoken-word performer, and England Poetry Slam winner. He has facilitated workshops, performed at exhibitions and has hosted and featured at poetry nights across London including Process, Spit, Tequila and Poetry, Storytime London, Love Supreme Festival, Off The Chest and more, speaking on a variety of topics ranging from consumerism to hangovers, to love, philosophy and his mother, with his physical presence as punctuation to his performance.
Ella Dorman-Gajic
Ella Dorman-Gajic is an award-winning writer, performer and educator working across theatre, poetry and screen. Her writing has been described as “impassioned” by The Guardian. She’s performed her poetry across the UK, from pub toilets to the Roundhouse stage. Her 5-star stage play, ‘Trade’, went on an arts-council-funded UK tour to sell-out audiences, and published with Salamander Street. As a screenwriter, she won Best Screenplay at the Healdsburg International Film Awards (judged by Tom Waits) for her debut short film, ‘Back of the Net’, which has been selected for BIFA and BAFTA accredited festivals and picked up 7 awards. Her poetry has been published widely, including by Poetry Wales, and she’s an alum of Roundhouse Poetry Collective and the co-founder of Off The Chest, a sell-out poetry night.
Sam Browne
Sam Browne is a poet from Southend, Essex, who found poetry at the age of 14 as a way of helping to deal with a lot of the mental health problems he was experiencing at the time. Now, years later, Ihe still uses poetry as a way of expressing feelings, as well as regularly headlining some of the biggest spoken word events in London. He has amassed a significant online following . Sam has spent the last few years teaching English as a Foreign Language online and more recently working as a LSA. He now combine these teaching skills and experience in education along with his personal experiences and passion for poetry to help young people across the country.
