About this event

Community • City & Town

An unprecedented opportunity for MK’s business and community leaders to share best practice in helping their staff get healthier and happier with more sustainable habits. Delegates will hear from national experts as well as MK leaders who have increased cycling rates in their communities.

The symposium is Chaired by Dr Ann Limb DBE DL, influential educationalist, philanthropist, business leader and charity entrepreneur.

Delegates will hear from speakers from Active Travel England, Joy Riders Britain, Dr Jonathan Flower from University of West England, senior delegates from Milton Keynes Council and Laura Laker, journalist with The Guardian and Streets Ahead podcast, as well as representatives from the Cycling Citizens MK Alliance who are hosting the Symposium.

There will be Panel discussions with representatives, amongst others, from Network Rail, GXO, MK University Hospital & Voices of Women, discussing key issues including;

* how can we get more people cycling to work in MK?

* how we can increase women's participation in cycling ?

Plus excellent opportunities to network with other education, business and charity leaders, employers and representatives from MK Council and Cycling Citizens MK Alliance.

We will also be holding a Dr Bike session, run by Cycle Saviours before the event in Unity Place offering free minor bike repairs and advice.
