Update: We currently have no more spaces available for College lunches. If any become spare on the day with people not showing up, these will be made available after the initial registration period. If you have not been able to book one, please try asking at the registration stand after 10:15.

The MML Faculty Open Day will take place on Friday 17 March 2017.

The programme for the day will include introductory talks on both MML and Linguistics, sample lectures and tours of the MML Library and other facilities such as the Phonetics Lab and the Psycholinguistics Lab. There will be stands for each Department where you will be able to meet staff and students, and there will also be information available about the Year Abroad and the University Language Centre. The Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies will also be running an Open Day at the same time and information on combining MML with Middle Eastern Studies will also be available.

Prospective students can also sign up (through the alternate ticket option) for a lunch at one of the University's Colleges, which provides an opportunity to see a part of the University away from the Faculty. These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and unfortunately we are not able to accomodate preferences in choice of College.

Please note, it is not necessary for parents or teachers to book tickets. Depending on student numbers, it may be necessary to restrict access to talks and sample lectures to prospective students only. In this case, parents and teachers will still be welcome in open areas.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer parking on the Sidgwick site, for either individual or school groups. The Sidgwick Site is served by the Universal bus service, which stops on West Road and also connects to the train station. We recommend visitors either come to Cambridge on the train, or use the Park & Ride facilities, details of which can be found on the Council's website.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will not need to see a printed ticket. Names of attendees will be checked off against a list at visitor registration at the start of the day.
