Event description

Description

It’s that time of the year yet again! APEP is almost over, and everyone is looking for these rare opportunities to get published! If you feel that way, then our MMRSSoc lecture may just give you that additional tip or push to get yourself a publication, and those (really hard to obtain) points for your foundation years.

First, we are delighted to welcome Professor Neil Pendleton of the University of Manchester. With loads of his works being published, and having supervised many students for their MScs and PhDs, he will be speaking about what reviewers and editors look for in publishing academic journals. Also joining us are three of our students, now doctors: Dr. Harriet Van Den Tooren, Dr. Sermed Mezher and Dr. Omer Ali. As previous students here, you will have the opportunity to listen to their own experiences – including the opportunities and the hardships – in getting published.

The talks will be followed by a Q&A session, where you will all have the chance to ask those little annoying questions which are quite possibly preventing you from getting a publication under your belt.

We hope to see you all there!
