MMUK Pilgrimage 2025

Join a special pilgrimage from Ely Cathedral to Selwyn College, Cambridge, following the Fen Rivers Way. This 19-mile journey blends prayer, community and purpose, to support the future of education in Melanesia.

Are there options to do a shorter pilgrimage?

Yes - shorter route options (7, 12, or 6–7 miles) and transport support, make the walk accessible to all.

What is the route?

We will be walking from Ely to Cambridge, using the Fen Rivers Way. This can be found on OS maps 143 and 155 (1:50 000 scale, ‘pink’ tops).

What about health and safety?

The pilgrimage will be led by an experienced guide and a qualified first aider. A risk assessment has been completed and a first aid kit will be available. Mobile numbers for both leaders will be shared on the day.

Are refreshments provided?

Please bring water and any snacks that you want during the day. You may wish to purchase additional refreshments along the way.

Are there toilet facilities?

There are toilets at Ely Cathedral, Five Miles from Anywhere pub, St John’s Church, Waterbeach and Selwyn College.
