Event Details

If you've been to the movies recently, you may have seen the above trailer for MoBeta Breakfast II. In case you missed it, we'll be returning to Busboys & Poets on Wednesday, September 7th for the MoBeta sequel.

Just like last time, we'll spend the first 30 minutes rubbing elbows, grazing on pastries, and getting our caffeine fix. This time around, since many of our event attendees have app ideas that are in the formative stages, our speakers' presentations will focus on User Experience (UX) in mobile apps and pre-release Usability Testing using eye-tracking devices.

Olga Howard, Three Pillar Global's lead UX Designer and the inventor of the periodic table of UX, will take the floor first to talk about how to create intelligent UX design. Olga will be followed by Lindsay Mack of Tobii, a Swedish company that is doing some seriously cool things with eye tracking in mobile usability testing. These two videos - one showing a gentleman trying to turn on a smartphone running Android and the other navigating the Wired iPad app - will give you a taste of what the masterminds at Tobii are up to.

What's MoBeta all about? MoBeta is a place for tech professionals, thought leaders, decision-makers, and members of the business community to find out how their companies can harness the mobile revolution, which, with apologies to Gil Scot Heron, will be televised…on your phone. Join the MoBeta LinkedIn group to find out more and to connect with MoBeta speakers and others in the DC/VA/MD Technorati.

So RSVP today, and we'll see you on the 7th!
