**PLEASE NOTE THE ORGINAL DATE OF THE EVENT HAS NOW CHANGED TO TUESDAY 25TH**
Our Mobile Devs in Sky are hosting a mobile meet up aimed at iOS and Android Developers to chat about the latest mobile development trends and technologies.
The evening will be a laid back open forum where everyone’s input will be welcome and an insight into the way our mobile tribes function.
iOS topics for the evening cover the following:
Title : Crusty’s love poem : Swift in the time of composition
Summary: The chances are, if you are thinking of attending this event, that you’ve seen that memorable WWDC 2015 talk by Dave Abrahams on protocol oriented programming. No doubt you loved it just like we did. Only, do you get the chance to code like that every day *and* get paid for it? In this talk, we’ll show you how here, at Sky, we do just that and, along the way, we may even show Crusty some new tricks in turn!
Title: Code I want to write : How can we write code that is a joy to read?
Summary: Code is read a lot more than it is written. We all have seen awful code that is difficult to grasp or compels us to `git blame`. Now wouldn't it be nice to look at code and smile at how powerful Swift can be. This talk will show how we achieve that at Sky and the process we go through. No one said it would be easy, but the final result is worth it.
Android topics for the evening cover the following:
Title : Kotlin for Android
Summary : A quick talk around using Kotlin to make Android development less painful and more efficient.
Title: My Sky App build process
Summary: An overview of the My Sky App build process & how we integrate with Circle CI, FastLane and Jenkins
In true meet-up style there will be pizza and beer!
Please feel free to forward to link to any of your friends or colleagues who may find the topics of the evening of interest.
Talks kick off: 6.30pm
Pizza, tour of the work space, networking, beer: 7.30-9pm
The guys look forward to seeing you there!
