The MOBO Help Musicians Fund exists to facilitate opportunities for musicians making hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, music of African origin, reggae, jazz and gospel. Help Musicians is a charity that has been supporting professional music creators for over 100 years.

What will happen in the session?

The session will guide you through the types of activities that can be supported by the MOBO Help Musicians Fund. Whether it’s recording an album, manufacturing merch, running a marketing campaign to support a new release, or producing a video for your next single, it can support you to take the next steps to reach your creative potential.

Don’t worry if you’ve never applied for funding before, the team will explain the application process, common mistakes and share their top tips, so you can get started as soon as you’re ready. There will also be a Q&A at the end of the session to ask any questions you might have.

How do I access the session?

The session will take place online via Zoom. You will receive a link by email ahead of the event date.

When can I start my application?

In order to ensure musicians across the UK have more opportunities to develop, create and release on their own terms, Help Musicians has removed deadlines from its creative financial support. This means that you can apply when you’re ready to, without having to wait for ‘rounds’ to be open or meeting deadlines. Every application will receive an outcome within 10 weeks, no matter the day, week or month.
