About this Event

Ms Margaret Malloy is a high performing employee, but recent posts on social media appear to show her attending a theme park when she was off work ill.

An investigation has been carried out and a disciplinary hearing arranged…

This fully interactive session will provide delegates with the opportunity to witness a ‘live disciplinary hearing’ where you will observe all aspects of the hearing and also have the opportunity to influence the outcome.

Our team of expert Solicitors and HR Consultants will act out proceedings and will explain the process and potential pitfalls along the way.

Objectives

Delegates attending this session will:

  • Witness a full disciplinary hearing
  • Receive guidance on how to conduct a disciplinary hearing in accordance with their own policy and ACAS guidance
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and liaise with the chair of the panel to influence the outcome of the hearing

Craig Vincent

Craig leads the HR Consultancy team and is an integral part of the firm's Employment Team which has grown significantly in recent years.

Craig leads on all aspects of Business Development for the team and this includes speaking at regional and national events. He provides advice on complex HR issues as they arise including recruitment, absence management, disciplinary, capability, grievance, TUPE, restructure, performance management and induction. Craig has extensive experience of working with clients from all sectors and works with numerous charities.

Polly O’Malley

Polly is a very experienced employment lawyer and advises on a wide variety of strategic, contentious and regulatory matters. She has a wealth of experience in the whole ambit of staff issues including national terms and conditions, industrial action, trade union liaison, TUPE, restructure, pay and safeguarding, and has a particular interest in equality issues.

Combining a commercial and risk sensitive approach with sector specific knowledge and real ‘hands on’ management of client relationships allows Polly to provide strong focussed support, assisting clients with both strategic aims and crisis management.

Polly is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is a regular speaker at national and regional conferences. She also provides bespoke, in-house training for both her education sector and commercial clients as well as having regular speaking commitments with various professional institutions.
