Hertfordshire law firm Debenhams Ottaway will run a mock employment tribunal in partnership with Herts CIPD and No5 Chambers.
This is a great chance to witness a live mock employment tribunal hearing with witnesses giving evidence. Delegates will understand how the tribunal process is conducted, appreciate the tension and drama and see how the outcome is determined.
The fictitious case will be heard by an 'Employment Judge' played by an employment barrister from No5 Chambers. Junior No5 barristers will represent the 'claimant' and 'respondent' to ensure you have an accurate picture of the cross-examination skills you may face as a representative or witness.
Trial bundles and witness statements will be provided beforehand to ensure maximum understanding of the facts and legal issues before the trial. After the witness evidence is heard and closing submissions are made, delegates will have the chance to ask questions and vote on what they think the outcome will be before final judgement is delivered.
Registration for the event is from 2.30pm, with the mock employment tribunal and Q&A running between 3-6pm, followed by refreshments.
This event is suitable for HR professionals or anyone in management who handles employee relations.
To secure your place, please book through this Eventbrite page. If you have any questions about the event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01727 735638.
