12.30pm for 1.15pm prompt start.
DC Emplyment Solicitors will conduct a mock tribunal.
This workshop is designed specifically for HR Professionals who think they may have to attend an Employment Tribunal in the future or would simply like to know what happens at a hearing. It will provide an excellent learning opportunity for Company Directors or Senior Managers and may assist you in convincing others of the need to follow process in order to avoid your own real life ET drama. It is designed to assist HR Professionals and senior managers in their dealings with employment matters while having in mind that defending any decisions in a tribunal may be possible in the future.
The case will be heard by an Employment Judge with vast experience in hearing tribunal claims. DC Employment Solicitors will provide the advocates and the witnesses.
The objectives of the course are to provide HR Professionals with:
- An overview of how an employment tribunal is conducted;
- Insight into how to be as prepared as possible for a tribunal;
- An idea of how it feels to be a witness in proceedings and the potential banana skins to avoid;
- Some fun along the way!
In order to achieve a deeper insight into proceedings, during the session from evidence in chief, through cross-examination to judgment, the action will be frozen in order to take opinions on the progress of the case and questions.
We aim to provide an enjoyable afternoon of learning.
