The Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture (MoDA) holds one of the finest collections of mass market wallpapers in the country, with samples dating from the late nineteenth century through to the 1970s. Join Assistant Curator Maggie Wood for the opportunity to explore the range of styles and printing techniques represented in the museum's collections. A range of papers will be available for you to see and handle, from late Victorian and Edwardian 'sanitary' wallpapers, to elaborate 1930s ‘cut-out’ designs, as well as bold, screen-printed patterns popular during the 1950s and ‘60s. Come and indulge your love for wallpaper at this friendly and informal session.
