Event description

Description

This session will look at business models; a company's plan for how it will generate revenues and make a profit.

In the current business environment, the time to make decisions is shortening and, at the same time, the amount of data available is growing. As Alexander Osterwalder (business model innovator guru!) says… “Innovation is only risky and expensive when you do it wrong! When your ideas are new and disruptive, uncertainty and risk is at its maximum. That's when you need to test quickly & cheaply before even building prototypes!”

Before you go out and build a prototype, having a robust business model lays out a step-by-step plan of action for profitably operating the business in a specific marketplace.

This Skills Build workshop will use a systematic, practical visual approach to help you design and innovate your sustainable business model and will give you a framework to test your service or product offering. It will also help you re-define your current business model if you already have a company up and running.

Even if you are a freelancer, social entrepreneur, have an idea or are simply interested in learning about business models, book and come along!

Speakers include Dan Henderson (SET & Dean of Enterprise, Stratford), Frances Odell (SET), Tim Isle (SET) and more to come!

This event is for LCF Students and Alumni ONLY
