Sun 4 December 2016, 11:00 – 12:30 GMT
A walk around the Centre of the City of London - exploring the modern architecture that has shaped the city today. Many of these buildings stand on ground which has been built on for 2000 years and you will hear how the architects have overcome all of the problems and in some cases have incorporated former graveyards and ancient monuments into their plans.
The presence of underground railways and Victorian sewers have added to their need for inventiveness and if that wasn't enough they had to preserve sight-lines to famous buildings.
