Event description
We are delighted to announce the return of socially distanced walking tours led by our award-winning London Blue Badge Tour Guide Gavin Webb

About this event

The City of London is full of striking modern buildings, many of them with nicknames such as the Walkie-Talkie, the Cheesegrater and the Gherkin.

On this tour Gavin Webb will discuss the factors which influenced their design and how recent developments, including technology, sustainability and COVID, are affecting future plans for development.

The tour will be approximately 2 hours.

The group is limited to 12 people, plus Gavin. We will be using a Zoom conference call: you will need to call a London number from your mobile phone, and will then be able to listen to Gavin through your headphones to ensure group members can stay 2 metres apart.

Gavin will be wearing a high protection face shield.

Tech notes: Battery usage on a new phone is minimal but can be quite a lot on old phones, so if you have a portable power bank then it is a good idea to bring it and also make sure your phone is fully charged. Please bring a phone headset as this will be the most comfortable way to join the call.

Please note: Due to our small group size, we cannot provide refunds within 14 days of the tour. You will need to give the mobile phone number for each attendee for track and trace purposes.

** The meeting point and Zoom details will be emailed to you - please add noreply@event.eventbrite.com to your email address book / safe senders **
