Modern Calligraphy Workshop

Modern Calligraphy is a fresh take on traditional calligraphy lettering, and allows you to incorporate your own style, making it completely unique.

Learn the art of Modern Calligraphy, whether you are a beginner or an improver, this class is perfect for you. Using a nib and ink, you will be introduced to the basic techniques from the fine stroke at the beginning of an A to the flourish on the end of a Z, and by the end of the class you will be able to produce a beautifully written piece.

The 2 hour workshop will include a glass of prosecco on arrival, a selection of Rosey lea sweet treats and drinks along with a personalised starter kit (nib, ink, penholder & practise paper) so you can continue practising your new lettering skills at home.

During the workshop, there will be exercises that will help you practise the basic forms of modern calligraphy and adding your own personal style will be heavily encouraged to create an adventurous & free spirited lettering.

There will be plenty of time for one to one interaction, guiding you throughout the workshop. After the workshop, you will come away feeling inspired and confident with your new writing skill ready to create hand-lettered pieces from greeting cards to your own prints!

What can I bring into the event?

Just your lovely self!

You will receive an e-ticket, nothing will be posted. Just bring your email confirmation on your phone. Nice and easy.

Please avoid wearing white or any nice piece of clothing that might get any ink on. The ink we will be working with does come off in the wash however depending on the fabric it may leave a stain.

What's the refund policy?

Tickets can be refundable if cancelled 14 days before the workshop. Otherwise you can claim a voucher to be used for future workshop dates.

If the event is cancelled due to government restrictions, you will be offered to either a voucher to use for another date or a full refund.

Please be assure that I’m working closely with the venue to ensure you’re safety through out the workshop.

The space will be thoroughly cleaned before and after the workshop. Hand sanitiser will also be available to everyone.
