The aim of the conference is to learn more about the national and local context of modern slavery, and discuss how we might identify the signs of modern slavery in Suffolk and effectively combat it.

The conference will be opened by The Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, the Right Revd Martin Seeley, and speakers include Dr Alison Gardner, of the University of Nottingham, Caroline Virgo, from the Clewer Initiative, Mark English, Human Traffic Coordinator from Norfolk and Suffolk Constabulary and Kerry Brighouse, Managing Director of the STN Trust, Norfolk, who is coordinating an interagency response to Modern Slavery in Norfolk.
