SPEAKER: Dr Neil Rane
Dr Neil Rane qualified in medicine from Cambridge University in 2005 following a bachelors in neuroscience. After junior rotations at Addenbrooke’s and Papworth Hospitals he entered into radiology at Oxford and subspecialised early into neuroradiology. This led to a fellowship in interventional and diagnostic neuroradiology. Whilst in Oxford he was a member of the AMICI group working in acute stroke research. Following qualification, he gained further experience as a consultant neuroradiologist at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Edinburgh. He was the 2014 Codman Neurointerventional Fellow at Royal Melbourne Hospital. Here he gained experience at a major trauma centre in advanced neurointerventional techniques including acute stroke intervention as part of the EXTEND-‐IA trial. He was appointed as Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist at Imperial in 2015.
