Course description:

Women in business are still lagging behind when it comes to promotions, serving on boards, or moving into key decision-making roles. Many opt out just as they are reaching the leadership phase of their careers. Yet, increasingly, research shows that when women are more equally present in business and governments, organizations and societies thrive. They bring skills and perspectives that uniquely enhance organizational performance. This course will delve into the current state of women’s leadership as well as explore pioneering research and work with Fortune 500 companies on the gender intelligence front. Above all, this is a course about leadership and packed with practical takeaways and insights that will help prepare students to best position themselves post-graduation for a leadership journey however they define leadership and success.

The Women’s Leadership and Gender Intelligence course is intended for both women and men. Here’s what we’ll cover:

• Gender Intelligence – addressing blind spots and biases as well as uncovering and leveraging the strengths of men and women at work
• Women’s Leadership -- Trends, Pioneers, Thought Leaders, Latest Research & Global Perspective on Women’s Leadership
• Personal Leadership Journey – Uncovering your true strengths, passion and purpose as well as developing, positioning your personal leadership brand
• Social Capital & Strategic Influence – Through a number of high level, inspiring guest speakers as well as exercises you will greatly expand your social capital as well as your ability to strategically influence.

Highly interactive and engaging, sessions will include candid discussions, tools and frameworks for understanding, appreciating and forging a gender intelligent global leadership path. We’ll lay the foundation for participants to further develop their own notions of what their personal leadership style is as well as inspire new levels of success. By the end of this course, students will have completed their own personal leadership framework that enables them to see where they are going and – most importantly – begin to devise how they will get there.
