Influencing is a super-power for those in business. But believe it or not, it's a skill that can be learned and honed. For decades, researchers in the fields of behavioural science and psychology have been studying the factors that allow you to influence others more effectively.

Dr. Robert Cialdini is undoubtedly the biggest name when it comes to this science. He has researched, developed and implemented a set of psychological principles that have been used successfully in organisations around the world. This workshop teaches the insights from both of Cialdini's best-selling books, Influence and PreSuasion.

Cialdini's research has revealed how you can make your audience receptive to your message, before they've even heard it. The first part of the workshop will explore this science of PreSuasion.

In the second part we explore Cialdini's classic 6 principles of influence so that you can craft the perfect persuasive message.

First you PRE-suade, then you PERsuade. We call it the one-two of influence.

This workshop is unapologetically applied. Once we cover the theory, it's over to you. We will be on hand to guide you through the optimisation of your own communication project.

Large and small companies and organisations have used these principles to change behaviour – increasing revenues and making communications more effective. Companies that have used and benefited from this programme include Apple and McDonald’s, as well as not-for-profit organisations and smaller businesses.

About the Trainers

Eoin Cannon

Eoin is a former global marketing executive who now designs and delivers learning programmes across multiple sectors and industries. He uses techniques and research from consumer marketing and psychology to make learning and communication more effective.

Recent projects include helping Sky increase self-directed learning, developing and rolling out a marketing academy and facilitating leadership skills for a multi- national construction firm.

He is a qualified business coach, a Myers Briggs practitioner and an experienced facilitator. He also holds an MBA and speaks Spanish and French.

Helen Mankin

Helen is a Senior Behavioural Science Consultant at INFLUENCE AT WORK. She is leading a number of global projects applying her behavioural science expertise to menu optimisation in the hospitality industry, consumer behaviour studies with one of the world’s largest restaurant groups and the application of behavioural science to personal finance.

She completed her MSc in Industrial/Organisational and Business Psychology at University College London.
