SPEAK: Suicide Prevention Training
SPEAK (Suicide Prevention: Explore, Ask, Keep-Safe) is a half-day training workshop developed by PAPYRUS, the national charity dedicated to preventing young suicide. Delivered in partnership with Momentum (part of Voluntary Norfolk), this workshop is aimed at anyone who supports or works with young people.
The session introduces key suicide prevention skills and offers practical guidance in a safe, supportive environment.
Participants will:
- Explore common attitudes, myths, and stigma around suicide
- Learn to recognise signs that someone may be having suicidal thoughts
- Build confidence to have open, sensitive conversations about suicide
- Understand how to support someone in creating a personalised safety plan
This training empowers attendees with the knowledge and confidence to help save lives and create safer communities for young people.
