What's Monday Music?
Monday Music is the after-school programme of music courses for ages 7 to 19, from Greenwich Music School.
Junior Orchestra, Youth Orchestra, Music Theory & Composition, Musicianship and Creative Ensemble - read more about each of these below. Children can take part in just one course, or combine several, for example one orchestra plus one theory class.

Monday Music is run by Greenwich Music School, South East London's organisation for high-quality music education from early years to professional training.
What's the taster day?

MUSICIANSHIP (ages 7-11, 4:30pm-5:20pm)
Enjoy growing your musical skills in this fun group session of creative games, musical projects, performance and group composition. Ideal for any young instrumentalist or singer from complete beginner to Grade 5.
THEORY & COMPOSITION (grades 1-3, ages 8-12, 4:30pm-5:30pm)
Learn music theory by using it creatively and practically in compositions which are performed within the class and by visiting musicians. Ideal for those at grade 1-3 standard in their instrument/voice. Covers material for ABRSM exams.
THEORY & COMPOSITION (grades 4-5, ages 9-14, 5:30pm-6:30pm)
Learn in-depth music theory, from notation to harmony, melody and counterpoint, by using it creatively and practically in compositions which are performed within the class and by visiting musicians. Ideal for those at grade 4-5 standard in their instrument / voice. Covers material for ABRSM exams.
JUNIOR ORCHESTRA (grades 3-5, ages 7-18, 5:30pm-6:30pm)
Get together with fellow budding performers and our expert conductor to enjoy playing a wide variety of music, from established classical repertoire to favourites from films and TV.
YOUTH ORCHESTRA (grade 5+, ages 7-18, 6:40pm-8:00pm)
Our youth orchestra keeps the same friendly, positive atmosphere whilst progressing to more challenging repertoire, working further on ensemble skills, communication, and refined sound production and blending.
CREATIVE ENSEMBLE (grade 7+, ages 15-19, 6:30pm-7:30pm)
For advanced students to work together creatively, composing and performing with expert mentoring. Explore and uncover new creative interests with like-minded musicians, putting together theoretical and practical knowledge in projects and concerts. Ideal support for A-level music and preparation for music college or university.
