Want to master your budget as a student?
Want to learn ways to manage your finances?
Do you have a budget? Want to know how to create and maintain one?
'Money Doesn't Grow on Trees' is a financial capability workshop run by the Student Finance Team, as part of UoS Student Services, to help students consider and work within their individual budgets whilst at university.
At Student Services, we understand that students face a change in their personal and financial circumstances. For some, this may mean budgeting and managing their finances independently for the very first time. For mature students, this may mean adapting to a greatly reduced income with or without a family to support.
With this in mind, this workshop has been designed to encourage all students to learn key principles of money management. Additionally, students will have opportunities to begin to explore attitudes towards finance and spending. This will involve managing everyday budgets as well as adapting to more financially challenging situations.
