Money for Life Training for Trainers - Glasgow 26th April 2017 (10am - 4pm)

Money for Life’s Money Masterclass, is delivered by Youth Scotland in partnership with UK Youth to help 16-25 year olds make the most of their money. Over the next three years 30,000 young people across the UK will take part in Money for Life’s Money Masterclasses, helping to inspire a generation to feel financially confident.
Youth Scotland is providing free training for trainers courses across Scotland to equip youth workers and young leaders to gain the skills to deliver the programme across Scotland in their local communities.
The training provides an understanding of the rationale behind the Money for Life programme, how it is delivered and can be incorporated into existing youth work practice. Attendees will gain a working knowledge of the course enabling them to effectively promote, support and deliver our ‘Money Masterclasses’ within their youth clubs or groups.
The course aims to:
A working knowledge of the Money For Life Programme and how to deliver the ‘Money Masterclass’.
Increase knowledge, skills and confidence of youth workers & young leaders when trying to engage young people in financial education.
Provide practical methods and activities to encourage young people to improve their ability to manage their money to help them deal with difficult situations in relation to their finances.
Explore some of the challenges and successes of delivering financial capability sessions to young people.
Empower young people to feel confident and start talking openly about money .
How Money for life can be used to alongside existing accredited awards such as Dynamic Youth and Youth Achievement Awards

Youth Workers/Leaders aged 16+ (paid • sessional • volunteers)

Please note that this training is a requirement for anyone wishing to deliver the Money for Life Sessions in their Community.
