Money Laundering – What charities need to know

By The Association of Guernsey Charities

Overview

Learn about charities’ anti-money laundering obligations, manage risks, implement controls, and prevent criminal misuse and harm.

There now are statutory obligations for Guernsey charities which are designed to prevent abuse of a charity for criminal purposes. The session will help participants understand what those obligations are, why they are important and what controls should be in place, the risks that the sector faces and how to identify and manage those risks, and the possible impact if things go wrong.

Presenter

Sally Buckley a Senior Compliance Consultant at Aspida Advisory Services, with 40+ years within the Guernsey financial services sector. I work closely with our clients to advise and train boards and employees on identifying and preventing financial crime and also best practices on data protection.
