'Announcing Money Matters – HIV & Finance Seminars'

Free Finance Seminars for Peer Support Mentors and Service Users of the George House Trust

Chris Morgan and Unusual Risks are very proud to announce “Money Matters” – The UK’s First HIV & Finance Seminars written especially for Peer Support Mentors working within the HIV Community and Service Users of the Terrence Higgins Trust and George House Trust. The Seminars will be delivered in London and Manchester in Spring 2018.

Throughout 2017 Chris Morgan has been touring the UK with the “HIV & Finance” Tour, which offered Free Educational Workshops for HIV Professionals, Counsellors and Support Workers. The tour has been hugely successful delivering training to over 150 professionals across 10 cities that have been affected by HIV.

Speaking about the Money Matters Seminars, Chris Morgan said,

I’m very excited to announce this new “Money Matters” initiative, which aims to reach out to all Peer Mentors and Service Users associated with the Terrence Higgins Trust and George House Trust initially. The Seminars will be larger than the HIV & Finance Workshops and will carry more consumer facing content about Credit and Mortgages.”

Chris Continued …

‘We are extremely grateful to organisations such as the Terrence Higgins Trust and George House Trust for their assistance with organising and hosting the tour and in particular THT Health, Wealth & Happiness Project, who worked closely with us in the creation of the original HIV & Finance workshop tour and now The Money Matters Seminar.

The seminars feature presentations and case examples from Chris Morgan the UK’s leading financial adviser on HIV Finance Issues, plus question & answer sessions. The Seminars will be taking place in London at Terrence Higgins Trust on Friday March 10th 2018 and at George House Trust in Manchester on Friday 6th April 2018.

These are the useful topics that are included in the seminar …

  • How to read your credit report? (Debt, Credit Scoring, Credit Checking, Adverse Credit)
  • How to get a mortgage, whilst living with HIV? (Income & Affordability, Deposit and Security, Mortgage Process, Life Assurance Requirements)
  • Types of Mortgages Available? (Fixed, Variable, Capped, Discounted, Adverse, Specialist, High Street, Non High Street)
  • Case Examples (Right To Buy, Adverse Credit, Debt Consolidation)
  • Question & Answer Sessions

We are now inviting Peer Support Mentors and Service Users to register for the Workshops by using the links below. The Money Matters Seminars are available in London and Manchester and are places limited, so be sure to reserve your place. Both Seminars are free to delegates and lunch will be available to delegates.
