The showcase takes place across the UK with an annual national final in London.
These auditions are for the adult round of the MonologueSlam UK, which is taking place on Friday 19th May 2017 at THE LIBRARY THEATRE, LUTON.
The auditions will be held at The Library Theatre on Saturday 8th April 2017. Please come prepared with a 1 Minute Monologue regardless of what round you are auditioning for. If you are applying for the 1 Minute Round, this MUST be the monologue you will perform at the show. Those applying for the 3 minute round, are required to perform a shortened 1 minute version of the 3 minute piece. A strict time limit will be observed during your audition.
Please make sure you arrive at least 15 mins before your allocated audition time.
Before booking your audition slot, please ensure that you are free to attend the event on Friday 19th May. Successful actors will be needed from 4:00pm.
Judges for the event are to be confirmed!
We recommend you familiarise yourself with the format of MonologueSlam before booking your audition, as you will need to decide whether to audition for the 1 Minute or 3 Minute Round.
You can do this by visiting our website: http://monologueslamuk.com
If you find you can no longer attend the audition, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can make the slot available to another performer.
Please note, we do keep a record of those who book and simply do not turn up or cancel on the day. This will affect future eligibiliy to take part in the event.
We've added a few simple questions to the registration process this time - this is in response to feedback from our survey, from those who want us to know a little bit more about our auditionees to help us represent diversity in a more inclusive way. We have asked everyone to answer these questions to make sure that everyone takes the same amount of time to register - but there is a 'Prefer not to disclose' option for every single question, so if you don't want to tell us anything more about yourself, you don't have to.
For youth performers (11-17) wanting to audition, this is on Friday 7 April please email email@example.com with the following information:
Your Parent/Guardian Email/Phone Number
The name of your monologue and the author
Your Preferred Time Slot – there is a choice of 4:30pm or 6:15pm
PLEASE NOTE** - There is a waiting list that has a capacity of 50 spaces. Once the spaces are filled, the option will disappear from the booking page and there will be no more space for anyone to be added on. Please do not make any futher enquires regarding this.
