About this event

Monoprinting Workshop with local artist Marianna Zoumpliou

Join us on Friday 24th October from 11am to 12:30pm for a fun and creative mono printing workshop, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Led by local artist Marianna Zoumpliou, the session invites participants to experiment with recycled and discarded materials—turning what would be thrown away into striking monoprints. Taking place alongside ‘Waste’ exhibition, you'll be surrounded by thought-provoking artworks as you create your own.

Materials will be provided, but we do encourage attendees to consider and bring alone a few of their own waste/ discarded items for inspiration - one man’s trash is another man’s treasure…

See below for images of previous workshops Marianna has run.

Attendees will be contacted with more information. Materials are covered in the cost of the workshop, along with hire of the space and facilities required. This workshop is suitable for both adults and children of all abilities.

Organized by

Our local FoE group for Tunbridge Wells was set up in 2005, and after a little break we came back! We work on a variety of campaigns, depending on members' interests, concerns and skills. For example, cutting out single-use plastics, increasing tree cover, creating pollinator-friendly habitats, environmental arts projects, litter picking, promoting walking and cycling and clean public buses as part of dealing with local congestion and air pollution, and engaging with local politicians on the Climate Emergency.

We are keen to establish friendly relations with other local community groups to promote networking of people from all backgrounds and ages who want to engage with social and environmental issues as listed above.

The aims of our group are:

• to bring people together who strive to preserve and/or create a healthy (local) environment for future generations• to try and persuade politicians, businesses and others to support our cause• support national Friends of the Earth in their campaigns to fight against pollution and climate change
