Is this workshop suitable for beginners?

Yes! No prior tufting experience is needed. I’ll guide you through the whole process and show you exactly how to use the tufting gun and other equipment. You just need to be able to comfortably hold and control the tufting gun (similar to a small power tool).

Is this class for adults only?

Yes, these workshops are for adults aged 18+. Due to the tools involved, they are not suitable for children.

Can I bring someone with me to watch?

Unfortunately not — due to limited space and the nature of the session, every attendee must be booked in. We are unable to accommodate non-participating guests.

Where is the workshop held?

The workshop takes place in my cosy home studio in Falmouth, Cornwall. The full address will be sent after booking. There is on-street parking available nearby.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have two small dogs on the premises. They will not be in the workshop space, but please be aware in case you have allergies or concerns.

Snacks and drinks are provided during the session. If you have any allergies, dietary requirements, or access needs, please let me know when booking and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself and some creative energy! All materials and tools will be provided, along with drinks and snacks. If you're attending the Freestyle workshop, you’re welcome to email your design idea ahead of time or choose from one of our templates on the day.

How long is the workshop?

Each session lasts approximately 4 hours, including a short break for drinks/snacks.

What size will my rug be?

You'll make a rug up to 40x40cm, or a design that fits within that frame. It doesn’t need to be a square — you're free to work with any shape or layout that fits.

How many people will be in the workshop?

Workshops are small and personal, with a maximum of 5 participants per session.

Can I take my rug home the same day?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You’ll take your rug home with you at the end of the session. I’ll provide instructions on how to apply backing and glue at home to finish it properly.

What materials will we use?

We’ll be using acrylic yarn, which is beginner-friendly and great for learning. All tools, yarn, tufting fabric, and backing materials are included.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please check the cancellation policy before booking. If you're unable to attend, I’ll always do my best to move you to another date where possible, but refunds are only offered under certain conditions.

Can I bring my own design?

For freestyle workshops, yes! You can send me your design in advance so I can prep your frame. Alternatively, you can choose from one of my pre-made templates on the day.

Will there be breaks?

Yes — the session includes a relaxed break with drinks and snacks. You’re welcome to take additional short breaks at any time if needed.
