About this event

Thank you for your interest in volunteering on the Scout & Explorer volunteer task on Sunday 26th October at Moor Green Lakes.

Any young person or leader will need to sign up for a ticket to book a place.

Task info

  • We'll meet at the car park off Sandhurst Lane at 10am (note clock change)
  • There is limited parking so please car share where possible to drop off young people.
  • We'll walk down to Long island over our pontoon bridge and set up base camp
  • Task will be clearing scrub / willow from the lake edge – on island
  • There will be a fire, so feel free to bring grub to cook on it.
  • We'll provide tools and training.
  • We will go ahead if it’s raining, but cancel if there are any weather warnings as it would be unsafe

Scouts / Explorers to bring

  • Their own gardening gloves if they have them as we don’t have many smaller sizes.
  • Clothing for the weather
  • Packed lunch – no nuts please as I have an exciting nut allergy which includes smells.

Any issues on the day please call Stuart on 07718 146999.

We look forward to seeing you on the volunteer task.
