Event description

Description

On 7 December 2017 the GCU Law Society are hosting a Mooting Seminar, led by Sheriff Shaun Murphy QC. Sheriff Murphy is a highly experienced member of the Bar, and currently sits as a Sheriff in Glasgow, where he also sits on the Sheriff Appeal Court, and, for a third of the year, in the High Court of Justiciary.

He will be focusing his lecture on appellate advocacy in the sphere of criminal law; so that the event is accessible to all levels. This seminar will be particularly useful for those intending to take the mooting and mediation module, to first years preparing for their assessed speed moot, and to students with a general interest in mooting competitively.

Registration will open at 5.30pm, with the seminar starting between 5.45pm and 6pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Please sign up using your GCU email.
