About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes

The movement of organisms is a core aspect of rewilding, yet the two fields largely lack effective interactions and collaborations. Much of the large body of Movement Ecology knowledge is not well integrated into Rewilding research and practice, but similarly most movement ecologists are not aware of the evidence and needs of rewilding projects in a management or policy relevant way.

This interdisciplinary hybrid (in person and online) workshop, jointly organised by the Movement Ecology and Rewilding SIGs, aims to identify the key needs for future research and application, and bring the two fields together.

Event aims:

  • Develop effective interactions, collaboration and connections
  • Explore how Rewilding and Movement Ecology methods, concepts and approaches can inform each other
  • Pinpoint key needs for future research and implementation

The event will be hybrid, with in person and online attendance. Limited spaces available! Registration will start at 10:30am and the event will close at 17:00.
