More Than Just a Ramble: How to Nordic Walk Effectively
This short walk along a paved byway, old railway line and undulating footpaths will be begin with a 'How to Nordic walk effectively' refresher/introduction session. (Poles will be provided if needed)
This circular route is mostly level through farmland, adjacent to carr woodland, and onto the remains of Merston Junction before returning via Merston Manor along footpaths. (No stiles)
Walkers will be encouraged to improve/practise their Nordic walking technique whilst taking in the countryside and the significant Victorian developments within it.
Around three miles long we hope participants will enjoy a leisurely pace whilst developing Nordic Walking fitness habits and learning a little about the area.

Pace of Walk: Gentle - This walk will follow a gentle pace.
Walk grade: Fairly Easy - Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines.
Mobility level: Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind.
