Key Things To Know
If you are joining us in the building, the key things we need you to know are:
- You will need to book in in advance
- You will need to know where you are going to be on the site
- Come ready to connect, discover, celebrate and serve as we worship together!
- Please respect the advice and guidelines, so everyone can feel safe
- Bring your own bible if you would like to use one (church bibles will not be available).
- Bring your own water bottle for drinking (access to the kitchen will not be possible)
Booking In
As there will be limits on capacity for services to help keep everyone safe, you will need to save your seat online before you come to church. You need to book for all those coming with you.
If you are unable to access this booking system, please ask another member of the church to book your place. Please only book tickets you will use so someone else doesn’t miss out.
How It Will Work
There will be volunteers to welcome, direct and check people in.
You will be required to wear a face mask (not visor) indoors apart from those under 11 or if the government exemptions apply to you. If you forget a mask there will be spares available. There will be hand-sanitiser stations at the entrance and throughout the building. Toilet facilities will be available upstairs.
10:45am: Service Ends - To help keep each other safe, we will be leaving the site promptly. Please follow the instructions when leaving and maintain physical distancing.
Social Distancing
- Seating will be arranged in accordance with the latest physical distancing guidelines in singles.
- Please respect those around you by maintaining your distance throughout the service.
- Please follow the instructions and directions provided when moving.
- Please use the available hand sanitisers on arrival and when instructed.
Sung Worship
To help keep each other safe we will not be singing as a congregation, but we hope that this does not restrict you from worshipping from your hearts. While this may seem strange to many of us, worship is not just about singing, it’s a posture of hearts that are hungry for God’s presence. It’s a chance to experience God’s love, to offer him our highest praise, to enter his courts with thanksgiving and to allow him to minister to us.
Prayer Ministry
There will be space to receive the Holy Spirit together and to encounter God. We won’t be calling people forward for prayer or offering laying on of hands. Instead, ministry will be led from the front with everyone encouraged to join in from their seats.
COVID-19 Symptoms
If you have been diagnosed with, or are experiencing symptoms of, COVID-19 you must not come to St Swithin's. Likewise, if you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay at home. In addition, if you have returned from international travel, or been in close contact with someone who has returned from international travel, in the last 14 days please stay at home. Please let us know if you are ill so that we can confidentially track if there has been any risk of transmission and also reallocate your seat.
Test and Trace
By saving a seat you agree that your details may be shared with NHS Test and Trace in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak.
Contact Us
If you have any further questions, please drop us an email (office@stswithinswalcot.org.uk ) and we will get back to you
If We Are Fully Booked
It deeply saddens us that we may not all be able to gather on Sundays, either because of current capacity restrictions or because of the wellbeing of individuals. If you are unable to come for whatever reason, please make use of our service online by visiting stswithinswalcot.org.uk/talks .
