Established in 1994, Mosaic Clubhouse, has since 2012 become part of Lambeth Council’s mental health offer, in collaboration with Lambeth and Southwark Mind. The clubhouse uses a non-professionalised approach based on the participation of its in every aspect of the governance and administration of the clubhouse. Its clubhouse status is dependent on accreditation by the international network, and Mosaic has consistently achieved the highest standards, becoming the flagship centre in the UK.
The day will begin with a member led tour of the Clubhouse, its facilities and governance arrangements. Afterwards a presentation and Q&A session will be held with Mosaic’s Chief Executive, Maresa Ness, about the Clubhouse’s history, its approach to co-production and recent challenges faced as Mosaic was contracted by Lambeth Borough Council. The visit ends with a visit to the Clubhouse’s member-run café, which provides hot meals and a range of refreshments.
